Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The nostalgia for 90s kids TV shows no signs of slowing down, with a Drake & Josh reunion now being engineered.

Drake Bell is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Grandfathered, according to Entertainment Tonight, where he’ll join his former Nickelodeon co-star Josh Peck.

In a soon-to-air episode, ‘Bell will play Kirk, a flashy tech investor whom Gerald (Peck) and Vanessa (Christina Milian) are desperate to meet up with to pitch their new app. But once Gerald and Vanessa come face-to-face with the loaded entrepreneur, they’re not sure he’s the best man to do business with.’

Peck previously professed a desire to re-team with Bell.

“I feel like our next guest star has got to be Drake Bell,” he told ETonline.

“I’ll just text him and be like, ‘Just keep the next six months open for me, will ya?’ I mean, I would love it and if he was available and into it, nothing would make me happier.”

Another beloved duo, Kenan and Kel, are also thought to be working on some kind of new content following the success of their reunion sketch on Jimmy Fallon, while Nickelodeon has launched a new channel called The Splat dedicated to old school shows.
