From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

A new Daredevil trailer has been released ahead of next month's second season premiere.

The follow-up to Marvel's critically acclaimed series, which debuted on Netflix last April, will see the return of Charlie Cox as the titular hero, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, as well as introducing Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Élodie Yung’s Elektra

The 18 March release will see Marvel steal some thunder from DC's Batman v Superman which is set to be unveiled exactly a week later on 25 March.

Daredevil was the first superhero to receive a standalone Netflix series and was followed by Jessica Jones in late 2015.

With two more due - Luke Cage and Iron Fist - the plan is to combine the four in an Avengers-style mash-up series calledThe Defenders which will see the heroes work alongside one another.

As well as Captain America spin-off Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a planned spin-off involving two fan favourites from the latter, Marvel's television projects have increasingly become as anticipated as its Cinematic Universe.

A full list of Marvel's upcoming slate can be found here. Following Daredevil will be Jessica Jones' second season, starring Krysten Ritter.

Daredevil season two will be available on Netflix from 18 March
