Ink Master’s Daniel Silva has been charged with murder following the death of YouTube star Corey La Barrie.

Internet personality La Barrie died in a car crash on his 25th birthday on 10 May, during which Silva was allegedly driving.

According to legal documents seen by TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney says that Silva, who appeared on the 10th season of reality series Ink Master, is facing charges of second-degree murder after “unlawfully, and with malice aforethought” killing La Barrie.

A statement from the DA reads: “A 26-year-old man has been charged with killing the passenger in his McLaren sports car after crashing into a tree in Valley Village earlier this month.”

La Barrie was declared dead at the scene, while Silva reportedly suffered a hip fracture.

Speaking about her son’s death, La Barrie’s mother Lissa Burton wrote: “My heart breaks right now. The accident killed him instantly.

“No words can describe the sadness I feel in losing a child. It just feels so unreal and I’m overwhelmed with grief. I love you so much Corey and will miss you so so much. It’s just so unfair.”

A GoFundMe set up to support the family with funeral costs has raised more than £167,000 ($205,000).
