From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. The HBO series, which was renewed for a tenth season in 2017, was expected to come back in 2020, but Jeff Garlin has now appeared to announce it’ll be broadcast as early as January.
Garlin, who has played Larry David’s manager Jeff Greene since the show’s debut season in 2000, revealed the news on Instagram, where he claimed it’s his “favourite” so far.
There is a six-year wait between seasons eight and nine of the acclaimed sitcom.
“We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in a statement after renewing the season.
Larry David added, “As I’ve said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so.”
Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines and Marty Funkhouser star Bob Einstein are expected to return. Two-time Emmy-winner Einstein died in January.
HBO is yet to confirm when Curb Your Enthusiasm will return, although – if Garlin is accurate – expect it to air in the UK on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in January.
