From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

HBO has renewed Curb Your Enthusiasm for a tenth season, making good on Larry David's promise not to wait around this time.

"We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility," HBO programming president Casey Bloys said in a statement.

Larry David added, "As I’ve said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so."

There was a six-year wait between seasons 8 and 9 of Curb, but we can expect 10 to arrive much, much sooner, with production on the season set to begin spring 2018.

A 2019 release date is likely, but if post-production is turned around speedily it could even sneak into the end of 2018.

"If I do another season, I’m not going to wait five years — that I can tell you," Larry previously said of a tenth season.

Curb's comeback was very funny on the whole, though the ending - Larry being chased by a man declaring fatwa - would not have been a fitting end to the series. S10 will address that.
