Your support makes all the difference.Filming on all the BBC‘s regular dramas, including Casualty, Doctors, EastEnders, Holby City, Pobol y Cwm and River City, has been suspended following the latest government advice about the coronavirus pandemic, a spokesperson has said.
A statement tweeted from the official EastEnders account read: “In light of the spread of Covid-19, filming on #EastEnders will be postponed until further notice...
“We have also taken the decision to reduce the amount of episodes we broadcast each week to two.”
Episodes will now air on Mondays, 8pm and Tuesdays, 7.30pm.
The decision follows a number of other postponements and cancellations of major TV shows and films, including the forthcoming Lord of the Rings series and season two of Netflix’s hit fantasy drama The Witcher.
Disney has announced it has postponed the releases of Mulan, The New Mutants and horror film Antlers, which it acquired from Fox, indefinitely.
John Krasinski announced he was postponing Paramount Pictures’ A Quiet Place II in the wake of the pandemic – just one week before his sequel was due to be released.
Daniel Craig’s final Bond outing No Time to Die, which was originally set to be released globally on 1 April, has been pushed back to November.
