From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Clarissa Explains It All is coming back to Nickelodeon after 24 years off the air.

According to THR, The revival is set to have Melissa Joan Hart who starred as Clarissa Darling in the titular role again.

During the show's first run from 1991 to 1994, Clarissa would talk to a camera about her teenage experiences.

Actors Jason Zimbler, Elizabeth Hess, Sean O'Neal and Joe O'Connor starred alongside Hart.

It was Nickelodeon's first series with a female lead, and it eventually led to other shows with female leads like The Secret World of Alex Mack.

Clarissa Explains It All creator Mitchell Kreigman is reportedly in talks to come back as writer and executive producer.

The show will be executive produced by Hart through her company Hartbreak Films, which she runs alongside her mother Paula Hart.

In the revival, Clarissa will probably portray the mother of the family.

In an interview a few months earlier with the publication, Hart discussed the potential of a Clarissa Explains It All revival saying, "I think Clarissa ended on a note that could be explored again. Because it didn't really have an ending – it sort of ended."

Hart also starred in Sabrina The Teenage Witch and didn't seem to be as excited about Netflix's darker version of Sabrina saying, "I like the way we left Sabrina. I think Sabrina ended on a really great note, and I don't think you want to go back and explore that."

The new Sabrina The Teenage Witch series has cast Sabrina Spellman as Kiernan Shipka and her boyfriend Harvey Kinkle as actor Ross Lynch.

The Clarissa Explains It All reboot is still in its early development stage.
