From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Chloe Green has joined the cast of 'Made In Chelsea'.

The 20-year-old fashionista - who is the daughter of Topshop boss Sir Philip Green - is currently dating series one star Ollie Locke, and is "very excited" to be joining the E4 reality show in its upcoming second season.

She said: "I wanted to do something that I initiated myself, and as I am already friendly with lots of the cast from series one, it seemed like a good idea for me to be part of the second series of 'Made in Chelsea'. I am excited to give this a try, and hopefully I will have some fun and learn lots from the experience."

Chloe - who was educated in Monte Carlo - recently explained her multi-millionaire dad was fully behind her appearing on the reality series. She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "My dad is really supportive and if I do end up being in 'Made In Chelsea' he'll be behind me the whole way."

While Chloe will have to appear alongside Ollie's ex-girlfriend Gabriella Ellis in the second series of the show, the openly-bisexual star insists there is "no awkwardness" between the pair. Ollie said: "Gabriella and I still talk and she's a great girl so there's no awkwardness there."
