Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Susanna Reid is set to partner with Rob Rinder on Celebrity Gogglebox.

The Good Morning Britain presenter and Judge Rinder star will be sharing a sofa on Friday's episode of the hit reality programme, and will stay until the end of this series.

Celebrity Gogglebox mimics the format of Gogglebox, in which cameras are placed in front of people while they watch TV, capturing their commentary and observations about the week's broadcasting.

Celebrities featured in the latest series include Harry and Sandra Redknapp, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, and Gyles Brandreth and Maureen Lipman.

Reid presents ITV's morning chat show Good Morning Britain alongside Piers Morgan.

Rinder, a criminal barrister, hosts the courtroom-set reality series Judge Rinder, in which he arbitrates on unofficial civil cases from members of the public.

He told The Sun: “I am very grateful to Celebrity Gogglebox for ensuring Piers Morgan will only be the second most important man in my dear friend Susanna’s TV life from now on.”

Gogglebox airs on Channel 4 on Fridays at 9pm. Old episodes can be watched on the channel's All 4 streaming service.
