From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Katie Price has chosen to save Katie Hopkins from eviction on Celebrity Big Brother - even though the outspoken columnist has previously criticised Price's choice of baby name.

Tonight's planned eviction was cancelled following the shock departure of R'n'B star Alexander O'Neal and instead the housemates were faced with a twist and their fate was placed in the hands of Price.

The former glamour model and businesswoman was asked to save the most entertaining housemate of the four who were up for eviction and replace that person with the least entertaining housemate for an eviction to take place on Friday.

Price opted to save Hopkins even though she has criticised her in the past about naming her daughter Bunny.

She had to choose between Hopkins, Alicia Douvall, Nadia Sawalha and Perez Hilton.

Price chose Calum Best as the least entertaining housemate, saying: “I get on with everyone. Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to try and be clever here even though I can't be clever with you.

“I'm going to pick someone who I think I know has a good chance not to go.”

Best, Douvall, Sawalha and Hilton face eviction on Friday.
