From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Sunday night's Britain's Got Talent final is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with the likes of Welsh choir Cor Glanaethwy, magician Jamie Raven and awesome light dancers UDI already bagging spots.

There are still two semi-finals to go and at least another four places left (plus the potential for a wildcard act) but with 45 hopefuls performing this week - which ones really have what it takes?

Here's our pick of the six contenders who actually have talent:

Calum Scott

Calum had a difficult first audition after he followed his unsuccessful sister onto the BGT stage. Jade got four 'No's from the judges but Calum earned a standing ovation and Simon's Golden Buzzer. The 26-year-old's moving rendition of "Dancing On My Own" had everyone reaching for the tissues.

Jamie Raven

Jamie may have his doubters after his mind-boggling semi-final trick but many suspect he will be the first magician to win the grand prize. The 31-year-old's first performance saw him turn four £50 notes into 'Bank of Britain's Got Talent' notes while his next saw him conjure a goldfish out of thin air.

Jules & Matisse

If you thought 2012 winners Ashleigh and Pudsey had the monopoly on dog acts, think again. Jules & Matisse have so far wowed the audiences with their dog catcher and toy shop-inspired routines that show off the collie's skills while also telling a fun story. Delightful.

UDI

Siberian dance group UDI lit up the stage quite literally with their dazzling light show. Like nothing ever seen before on BGT (crucial perhaps when dance acts have won before), this is magical and left Amanda at a loss for words.

Cor Glanaethwy

It looks like this 160-person strong choir is going to take some beating. This talented lot from Wales are popular with the public and judges alike. Their mesmerising performances leave us feeling like it's Christmas time when there's still seven months to go.

Beat Brothers

This five-piece tap dancing act was a bit different, or "fresh" as Alesha said. David Walliams loved it and there was so much energy that just watching the boys left us feeling out of breath. Plus they had glitzy silver podiums in their first audition.

...and a possible seventh...

Revelation Avenue

Twelve-piece East London choir Revelation Avenue had Amanda punching her Golden Buzzer and the judges on their feet with their powerful rendition of Katy Perry's hit. Sadly they narrowly missed out on a spot in the final but with a wildcard looking probable, we're hoping the judges pick this lot for another chance.

Tune in to Britain's Got Talent every night this week at 7.30pm on ITV.
