It’ll be a case of “here’s something I ate earlier” this week on Blue Peter as a presenter will expose the inside of his stomach to the viewers at home.
Radzi Chinyanganya will swallow a tiny camera in the form of a pill for a capsule endoscopy and live footage of his gut will be broadcast to children around the country.
He will swallow the capsule camera an hour before the CBBC programme goes live, allowing us to see the journey it takes through his body.
This is an unusual move for the long-running children’s TV show is famous for sending for the catchphrase “here’s one I made earlier” and for getting its presenters to make things out of sticky-backed plastic.
Chinyanganya said: "This is the first time we'll see inside any of the Blue Peter presenters' internal organs. I just hope I can stomach what I see..."
Specialist Dr Adam Haycock will use the footage to give a lesson on digestion for the show, which is broadcast every Thursday at 5pm.
Broadcaster Michael Mosley previously swallowed a tiny camera transmitting live pictures of his body digesting food for a BBC4 documentary.
