For Londoners looking to escape the trappings of the real world, you can now enter an episode of Charlie Brooker’s fictional series.
The Barbican Centre will host a new sci-fi exhibition this June titled Into the Unknown: A Journey Through Science Fiction.
According to The Fader, the entrance to the arts centre will feature a six-foot art installation recreating scenes from Black Mirror episode ‘Fifteen Million Merits,’ offering an ‘immersive’ entrance to the exhibition.
Set in a dystopian future, ‘Fifteen Million Merits’ see’s Daniel Kaluuya — recently seen in Get Out and with an upcoming role in Black Panther — attempt to earn ‘credits’ by using an exercise bike, all to compete in a reality TV show.
The exhibition will also feature props and models from Star Wars, Interstellar, Alien, and Jurassic Park on display, along with work from various VFX artists.
Into the Unknown: A Journey Through Science Fiction will be at the Barbican Centre between 3 June and 1 September.
