The Coronation Street actor has much to look forward to when she returns home from the castle, with her husband Jon McEwan organising an “intimate and romantic” surprise ceremony for the couple to renew their vows.
The pair recently celebrated 10 years of marriage after having tied the knot in October 2010.
McEwan revealed his intentions to The Sunday Mirror, stating that he wants to “celebrate” their relationship following a very difficult year, in which Callard was forced to take time off from her role on Coronation Street after suffering a severe hip injury that required surgery.
“We’ve been through everything – bankruptcy, depression, electroconvulsive therapy, hip operations. We got through it all together,” McEwan said. “So I thought, as a couple, we should celebrate where we are now."
He went on to praise his wife for appearing on the ITV programme, stating: “She's my queen already. Just by walking through the I'm A Celeb gates, she's won in life.”
McEwan divulged that he has already purchased the rings ahead of the ceremony, adding that he has been trying to keep Callard in the dark to keep the ceremony a surprise.
“I'm always saying, ‘Why do people bother getting their vows renewed?’ So she’ll have no idea whatsoever,” he said. “I hope she’s pleased. I could have got this completely wrong! I’m Beverley’s fourth husband so I have to get it right.”
Callard first married in 1974 to Paul Atkinson, the father to her only daughter Rebecca. The actor then had a second child Joshua with her third husband who she later divorced in 2001.

Speaking about the logistics of pulling off such a surprise, he said: “I’ll pull her to the side and tell her – before anyone else does.”
McEwan also told the publication that it was “down to the wire” whether Callard would be able to appear on I’m a Celeb due to her hip injury.
"There were times she couldn’t actually walk. It’s been a shocking year. We had the hip operation that didn’t work, then the hip replacement,” he said.
