While the first trailer for season three didn’t feature Walter White’s nemesis, a mysterious teaser for Los Pollos Hermanos appeared online, seemingly confirming his appearance in the show.
Since then, Esposito has confirmed his character will appear in the AMC show, whilst the network has also announced the show’s return date: 10 April.
Netflix has yet to confirm when the show will reach the UK, but like the last two seasons, expect the Breaking Bad spin-off to reach the streaming service moments after airing in the US.
Fring's return was teased in Better Call Saul's season two finale when character Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) discovered a note written by the meth baron on the windshield of his car. It simply read: "Don't."
Better Call Saul focuses on Bob Odenkirk's Breaking Bad character Saul Goodman in his formative years when he's known as Jimmy McGill. The critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad finished in 2013, with Better Call Saul starting soon after in February 2015.
