Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.AMC's Better Call Saul finished filming this month, with Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould now in edit mode ahead of the Breaking Bad prequel's scheduled air date in February 2015.
Cast and crew bid goodbye to Albuquerque one by one over the past couple of weeks, but their parting will only be brief as season 2 is also set to film there next year.
"Goodbye Albuquerque. Until next time..." wrote producer Nina Jack, with actor Michael Mando adding: "Wrapped on our beautiful show."
BCS news has been fairly thin on the ground since the release of its theme song, with most of the discussion revolving around a mysterious billboard that popped up in ABQ not connected with the show bearing the words: "DO NOT CALL SAUL".
As it turned out, it wasn't erected by a citizen of the city angry about the show's huge effect on it, but by a local lawyer warning of ambulance-chasers like Saul.
Better Call Saul has still yet to be given an official release date by AMC or Netflix, but is on track for February 2015.
