From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The panned fourth season of Arrested Development has been remade into an official 22 episode series.

Creator Mitch Hurwitz has announced that the comedy series' Netflix revival, the format of which saw each episode focus on a single character, has been remixed so that the Bluth family will be integrated as opposed to being kept apart.

Hurwitz posted a letter to Twitter in which he supported the Rashomon-style of storytelling deployed in the maligned fourth season while adding that this new version of season 4 “shuffles the content from 15 individualised stories into 22 interwoven stories the length of the original series.”

He also teased that season 5 is imminent stating that it'll be released on Netflix “real soon.”

You can read the full letter below.

The series stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Alia Shawkat and David Cross. Jeffrey Tambor will also reprise his role as Bluth patriarch George in the new episodes following his departure from Amazon series Transparent after claims fo sexual harassment.

In the meantime, Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences will be available to stream on 4 May (otherwise known as 'Cinco de Cuatro' to fans).

Arrested Development was originally cancelled by Fox in 2006 after its third season, only to be revived by Netflix in 2013.
