From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Apprentice hopefuls are hoping to avoid an udder disaster as they try to cream off the biggest profit in their latest task.

Viewers will see the wannabes milking cows by hand as members of team Endeavour gather ingredients for milkshakes for their latest money-making venture.

The two teams tonight have to impress Lord Sugar who set them the task of opening their own farm shop at London's Borough Market.

He tells them at the start of their challenge: "I'd like you to source stock for your shops and sell it to the public. The team that makes the most amount of profit will win, and in the losing team, one of you will be fired."

But Endeavour team leader Neil Clough is horrified when he hears how little his colleagues have spent on raw materials, and they have a race against time to buy stock to make their shakes.

The Evolve team try to tempt customers with exotic meat by selling cuts of buffalo, as well as soups and jacket potatoes.

The programme is at 9pm on BBC1 tonight
