Though sadly there’s no update on Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank getting a full series, Alan Partridge will be returning to our screens in 2016 with a new batch of Mid-Morning Matters.
Steve Coogan’s co-writer revealed on Twitter that the first episode of second series will have a Monday 8 February air date, though this has yet to be confirmed by broadcaster Sky Atlantic.
It’s been a long time coming, with Gibbons replying when asked why NOW TV had been advertising it for November 2015: “It's been shunted around. Was meant to be November at one point I think.”
Coogan said of the show’s return: ”I am both thrilled, humbled, gladdened and excited to be bringing Mid Morning Matters back to Sky Atlantic."
"I expect those who doubted its success feel suitably chastened to never again doubt the wisdom of my career choices and to say nothing in response unless their comments are wholly supportive and positive. I hope I've made myself clear... thank you, let's leave it there."
