Game of Thrones fans have spotted yet another production gaffe that appears to have been made in the final episode.

During the last episode of season eight, several fans noticed that a water bottle appears to have joined the now-infamous “Starbucks cup” that appeared in front of Daenerys at Winterfell.

It was spotted just behind Samwell Tarly’s left leg as he attempts to convince the rest of the group, who are deciding on the fate of the Six Kingdoms, that letting “the people” decide is the best option.

Twitter user @bethisloco appears to have been first to spot the error.

Fans have reacted with both amusement and annoyance at the water bottle's erroneous appearance during a critical scene.

It will likely be a sore subject for showrunners who were forced to issue a statement after a takeaway coffee cup was seen amid the metal goblets and animal horns that were used during a celebratory feast at Winterfell.

Many have criticised the show for its rushed pacing towards the finale, along with the arcs of several beloved key characters. Over a million people have signed a petition calling for a “remake” of season 8.

Meanwhile, our critic Nick Hilton was also unimpressed by the “misjudged ending and hammy delivery” of the final scenes. Read the full review here.
