Actor Tom Sizemore is alleged to have molested an unidentified 11-year-old girl.

In 2003, Mr Sizemore was sent home from the Utah set of the movie Born Killers, after the young actress claimed he had inappropriately touched her genitals, a dozen cast and crew members who worked on the film told The Hollywood Reporter.

Months later, he returned for reshoots in Malibu after her parents did not press charges, the outlet reported.

The now 26-year-old former actress, who asked not to be identified, said she recently hired a lawyer to explore legal action against the Saving Private Ryan actor as well as her parents, according to THR.

Mr Sizemore’s agent, Stephen Rice, told the outlet: “Our position is ‘no comment’. ”

The Independent’s request to Mr Sizemore’s representative for comment was not immediately returned.

The allegations come more than a month after accusations against producer Harvey Weinstein unearthed an avalanche of similar sexual harassment claims in the entertainment and film industry.

Mr Weinstein has “unequivocally” denied all accusations of forcing women into non-consensual sex.

The alleged incident involving Mr Sizemore is said to have occurred while photos were being taken of the young actress sitting on his lap.

Actress Robyn Adamson – who was present during the shoot said, “At one point her eyes got just huge, like she could’ve vomited.” Afterwards, she said the young girl “had trouble taking direction.”

The next day, casting director Catrine McGregor said she got a call from the young girl’s agent, who told her that the girl had informed her mother that she had been inappropriately touched.

Mr Sizemore is said to have denied the young actress' allegation as soon as he was confronted with it.

The producers of the R-rated crime thriller – Jai Stefan, Michael Manshel and Gus Spoliansky – told THR that they removed Mr Sizemore from set as soon as they heard about the allegations.

They reviewed the photographs from the portrait session but found them to be inconclusive evidence. They then encouraged the parents to get law enforcement involved if they felt inclined to do so.

“[The parents] did talk to the police but didn't press charges,” Mr Manshel said. “We also talked to Tom at the time, and told him everything that had been told to us, and he said: ‘I've done a lot of awful things, and I'd never do anything with kids.’”

Mr Sizemore previously pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges of domestic abuse for assaulting his girlfriend in July 2016. An actor with a tough-guy image, he’d recently been convicted of physically abusing and harassing his ex-girlfriend, actress Heidi Fleiss, when the Utah incident occurred.
