Ravenhill takes a satirical look at film clichés, and combines them with topical references, wrapping a ridiculous torrid love story within the context of the threat of terrorism. His bad taste in celebrating the terrorist as someone whose power exerts a mental and sexual attraction is sometimes unpleasantly funny, but sometimes misses its target. That it works at all is largely down to Ravenhill's commitment to the part of the director and the way in which he conveys the awfulness of the script he is pitching. The starlet, however, is less than impressed.
