The news fans have been waiting to hear for five years finally dropped on the comments section of singer Rihanna’s Instagram account to rousing cheer — she’s coming up with new music.

Rihanna took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video celebrating Anti spending five years on the Billboard Top 200 chart, making her the first Black woman to accomplish the achievement.

The video highlights clips of her accomplishments as an entertainer and designer. She captioned it, “Grateful to the most High for putting die-hard supports in my circle… Congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team.”

When a fan commented “celebrate by releasing a song!”, she responded, “I think I should soon”.

She added: “just 1 tho lol.”

A year ago in March, the singer released a collaborative song,Believe It, with Canadian singer-songwriter PARTYNEXTDOOR which topped many charts for consecutive months. However, RiRi’s fans are frantic for her to drop a solo hit.

Previously, the nine-time Grammy winner has released songs with top artists such as Canadian rapper Drake, Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj, and American rappers Eminem and Jay-Z.

While she hasn’t currently been delivering new music, the mogul has been zeroing in on other undertakings in the course of recent years, including her lingerie line Savage x Fenty, and make-up and skincare brand Fenty Beauty.
