Sarah McLachlan, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter from Canada who dreamt up the amazingly successful Lilith Fair is another woman who can look after herself. While the Lilith travelling roadshow played to a million people at 57 dates in north America this summer, she still has to justify her "celebration of women in music" to the media. "Hell it's just a music festival - music that happens to be made and played by women," she says. Lilith Fair sets foot in Europe for a one-off showcase in anticipation of a full tour next year. McLachlan headlines and a strong bill features Sinead O'Connor, Beth Orton (right), Lisa Loeb, Alison Moyet and N'Dea Davenport.
