Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Snow Ghosts have unveiled the video for their track "Lied", and we're premiering it today on The Independent.

If you haven't heard of them before, chances are you have heard them.

They soundtracked the trailer to X-Men: Apocalypse and featured on a multitude of television shows including, most recently, ABC’s celebrated How To Get Away With Murder.

"Lied" is full of the wonderful gothic drama they've incorporated in their work since their very first EP.

Check out the video and let us know what you think:

Q&A with Snow Ghosts

What are you listening to at the moment?

Oli: Come Truise and Diiv

Hannah: PJ Harvey and Cult of Luna's new albums

What are your plans for summer 2016?

Bury ourseleves in a studio... and we have an unannounced festival appearance to look forward to.

What was the first gig you ever played, and what’s been the best so far?

Our first ever gig was at Moles, in Bath (2011), but the best so far would probably be Cafe de la Danse in Paris. We were supporting Portico on tour and had a really wonderful reception.

Another favourite would definitely be Palác Akropolis in Prague last year. Oli and Hannah followed the gig up by sampling as many craft beers in one day as possible.

"Lied"/"Decorate My Bones’ is released by Houndstooth on 29 April
