Win one of two pairs of weekend passes to Bestival with RizLab
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. On the opening day of Bestival, Friendly Fires will curate a one-off exploration of “The Past, Present and Future of Dance Music” in the RizLab arena.
RizLab was created to allow credible artists to experiment freely and embrace their creative passions. Friendly Fires have the unique ability to mix anthemic songwriting with dancefloor fillers and RizLab are now enabling Ed, Jack and Edd to create an environment that really showcases their love of dance music.
Working with Frankie Knuckles, A Guy Called Gerald, SBTRKT, LONE and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Friendly Fires will create a “Past, Present and Future of Dance Music” experience live at the RizLab arena.
To whet your appetites for this feast of dance music, RizLab have provided The Independent with two pairs of weekend passes to Bestival, which is on between 8 and 11 September. The tickets are for the whole Bestival weekend, so after the Friendly Fires performance you'll be able take in the rest of the action on the Isle of Wight. To enter, answer the question below.
This competition closes on 31 August 2011. The prize is for tickets only - you will have to arrange your own transport, accomodation and sundries. The Independent's usual competition rules apply.
