U2 has announced new North American dates for its ongoing 360° tour, according to a press release issued July 13. Originally planned for June/July 2010 but canceled due to illness, the tour will now run from May 21 through July 23, 2011.

On May 21, 2011, the band will perform in Denver, Colorado, giving a concert that was originally scheduled to take place on June 12 of this year. Fifteen additional North American performances will follow, including stops at California's Angels Stadium and in Miami, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, and Philadelphia.

U2's initial North American tour was postponed in May to allow lead singer Bono time to recuperate after emergency back surgery. Dates for a European tour leg, beginning August 6 in Turin and ending in Rome on October 8, remain unchanged.

Additional dates and cities will be announced later, as will ticket sales information. Tickets for the corresponding previously scheduled performances will be honored at the door.
