Your support makes all the difference.David Mueller - the former KYGO-FM DJ who was fired after Taylor Swift complained he had groped her - has landed a new job at a Mississippi radio station.
Swift had claimed Mueller assaulted her during a 2013 meet-and-greet.
After Swift and her team banned him from the musician's concerts, he sued Swift for $3m (£2.1m) in damages, saying her accusations were false and destroyed his career.
Swift then counter-sued Mueller for assault, a case that ruled in the pop singer's favour.
Regardless of the ruling, Mueller has landed a job at Delta Radio's country channel WMYZ-FM where he'll not only co-host a breakfast show called Jackson and Jonbob, but will act as marketing consultant as well.
Mueller will appear on air as "Stonewall Jackson," a name which pays homage to the Confederate Civil War general.
Delta Radio president and CEO Larry Fuss stood by his decision to hire Mueller saying, "He’s either the world’s best liar, or he’s telling the truth. I tend to believe his version of the story and most people who have talked to him face to face do believe his version of the story."
As a result of his decision to hire Mueller, the radio station's Facebook page has been getting an influx of angry posts from Swift fans, but he maintains his defence.
“It’s just people who don’t have a clue, or don’t really have any knowledge of the facts," said Fuss.
At the same time, Fuss admitted that hiring Mueller was “maybe a tiny bit” about publicity for for WMYZ-FM.
In 2017, Swift counter-sued Mueller for $1, which she won.
However three months following the verdict, she still hadn't received her dollar.
