Your support makes all the difference.Britain's Got Talent runner-up and record-breaking solo artist Susan Boyle is set to publish a memoir in autumn, reported UK publishing resource The Bookseller on April 19. The Woman I was Born to Be will look at Boyle's "astonishing transformation" including "the trappings of celebrity" and "the whirlwind of attention and expectation."
Boyle said: "When I strutted onto the stage for that audition, I was a scared wee lassie, still grieving for my mother, not caring how I looked. I think I've grown up a lot in the last year, become more of a lady, and I'm not so frightened anymore.
"I'm writing this book to try to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and I hope it will benefit other people."
Boyle's memoir will be published by Transworld in the UK and Commonwealth and by Atria in the US.
Two unauthorized biographies about the reality TV star hit shelves in late January: Dreams Can Come True by Alice Montgomery and Living the Dream by John McShane.
Susan Boyle became a worldwide hit with her 2009 performance on the television show Britain's Got Talent. With sales of more than five million and growing, Boyle's debut album I Dreamed A Dream has broken records in the US and UK as one of the fastest-selling debut albums of all time.
