These New Puritans come with a manifesto of sorts, declaring themselves "anti-experimental, anti-distortion, anti-avant garde", like an audio wing of the Stuckists.
By most people's understanding of the term, however, avant garde is exactly what they are. Hidden is a dark, deliciously disorienting work which positions TNP as possibly our most intellectually challenging group since British Sea Power.
