Not a new Keane album per se, although at eight tracks, one wonders why they didn't make it official.
In any case, Night Train sees Tim Rice-Oxley & co cement their claim to being the TV-advertised daytime radio band it's kind of OK to like. Taking in electro-prog, synth rock, sugary pop and even R&B, with rapper K'Naan on two tracks and Japanese vocalist Tigarah on another, plus cheeky steals from Kim Wilde's "View from a Bridge", it stretches the Keane remit, even if it does end with a stereotypical piano ballad to reassure the faithful.
