"You can tear me apart like an animal" sings this ruffle-haired R&B boy on "Animal", a worrying invitation given his vulturous teen fanbase and puppyish energy.
Though he's sold as a mini-Timberlake, his quest to bring sexy back to Britain founders amid gauche come-ons ("Your aura/ It's so shiny") and strained emoting. Still, the super-efficient dance-pop doesn't miss a beat drop, and the bitter "Glass Girl" suggests he may yet make sense to oldies.
