Rationale unveils video for 'Fuel To The Fire' - premiere
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Rationale has unveiled the video for his new track "Fuel To The Fire" and we're premiering it here on The Independent.
The London singer was filmed during the song at a gig at Village Underground, where you can really feel the energy he puts into his music.

Q&A with Rationale
What have you been listening to recently?
I've been listening to an American artist called Adrian Younge recently. He's an amazing musician who I found through my obsession with Kendrick Lemar, check him out. I've also been loving the new Laura Mvula stuff and going to back some Bruce Springsteen classics.
I like that you went with a London venue for this video – do you have any favourites?
It had to be London. I've enjoyed a lot of love from my hometown so it's a pretty big deal for me. It's funny, some of my favourite nights have been spent watching amazing shows at the Notting Arts club. It's a ridiculously small venue but it's really cool and vibey.
What are your plans for summer 2016?
Summer is going to be really busy. I'm kicking things off with an American tour at the end of May. Followed by a run of Festivals like the Secret Garden Party, Reading & Leeds, Latitude.... & loads more. Oh... and I'll hopefully be releasing my album at the end of the summer too. Pretty intense.
What was the first gig you ever played, and what’s been the best so far?
The first gig I ever played was in a township in Harare, Zimbabwe. I was 7 and somehow managed to make locals and family pay to watch me sing and dance to Michael Jackson songs. It was a pretty stuff.
The best gig i've played so far was at the Village Underground last month (April) . It felt like everything i've been working so hard for was finally granted admission to the grown up's table. I walked away feeling pretty proud and humbled that people turned up in their numbers and had a good night.
That could just as easily be topped by my upcoming gig at the London Scala next week though, watch this space!
