Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. To commemorate its 20th anniversary, American rock band Pearl Jam announced via the band's website on November 4 the release date for Live on Ten Legs, a new live compilation.
The album releases internationally on January 17 (except in North America, where it releases January 18). The 18-track album features live tracks recorded over the course of the band's 2003-2010 world tours. The band's last live set, Live on Two Legs, was released in 1998 and has been certified platinum in the US.
The new release will be available internationally as a digital version, a CD, and a deluxe version, which features a CD, double LP package, four mini-poster reprints, and five photographs. The album will also be available as a vinyl in the US.
Album tracks include "Animal," "Rearview Mirror," "Jeremy," "Just Breathe," "Alive," and "I Am Mine."
Since its inception in 1990, Pearl Jam has become one of the longest-standing alternative rock bands to first find success in the 1990s, selling an estimated 60 million records worldwide. Pearl Jam's last and ninth studio album, Backspacer, reached number one on album charts in six countries.
