From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

As fans await his debut solo album, Zayn Malik has caused another spike in anticipation by dropping an upbeat new track called "Like I Would".

Over an electro-R&B beat reminiscent of The Weeknd, the former One Direction singer squares up to a male romantic rival whose bedroom technique is apparently somewhat lacking.

"He won't touch you like I do," Zayn sings. "He don't know your body, he don't do you right."

Cannily, 'Like I Would' is available now as a free download to fans who pre-order the longer 'Deluxe' edition of the album. Titled Mind of Mine, it's set for release on 26 March.

Malik has recently announced the album's track-listing and with it outlined his commitment to using capital letters in an unconventional way. The album's song titles are stylised as 'lUcOzAdE', 'dRuNk' and 'rEaR vIeW'.

After reaching number one in the UK, his debut solo single 'Pillowtalk' also topped the charts in the US - a feat his former group never managed. He then shared a second, more subdued track from the album called "It's You" before now dropping "Like I Would" as its third teaser.
