Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z will perform together for a newly added third date at Wireless festival.

The duo will preview their North American tour at the festival on Sunday 14 July, which will be held for the first time at the Olympic Park.

The two artists sang together at the Grammys, and have collaborated on Timberlake’s comeback single “Suit & Tie”.

The date has been added due to high demand for day one and day two tickets, when Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z will be performing separately.

Other acts announced today include hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks, who will support JT and Jay-Z on Sunday 14 July, alongside NAS and A$AP Rocky.

Jay-Z is already confirmed as the main act on Saturday 13 July, when Rita Ora and Emelie Sande will perform as well. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Flux Pavilion and Zedd have been announced as support acts.

Additional acts confirmed to join Justin Timberlake on Friday 12 July include Ke$ha, Connor Maynard, Wretch 23, Iggy Azalea and Bingo Players.
