From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

ScHoolboy Q and Kanye West dropped the music video for new joint ‘THat Part’ on Vevo today, and I’ve wheeled it back for repeat listens eight times already.

It sees Q partying on school bus before rolling up to Kanye’s house. Ye doesn’t prove the best house guest, backing off to dance around the house and simulate sex with a wall. Classic Kanye.

The video ends with him shouting his final verse at the bus for some reason. It’s not a great verse and I thought he might re-record it for the video but whatever, the beat and chorus are still irresistible.

A phone number - 1-800-351-1132 - appears at the close, which if you dial places a voice message saying: “Hello, Billy, it’s Top Dawg. Leave a message, I might call you back”, a reference to Kendrick Lamar’s ‘untitled 02 l 06.23.2014’ track which Kanye also references in his verse.

‘THat Part’ will likely feature on ScHoolboy Q’s second album, which got delayed but he is now promising will be out on 8 July 2016.
