The rapper denied claims made by a woman known as Aliza that he urinated on her during a sexual encounter without her consent, and then stopped her from leaving the room.
Appearing on the No Jumper podcast, Aliza said, “He’s psycho. He took my phone and my purse away for like a whole day, held it over the balcony and was like ‘B**** if you try to leave I will drop this s***.”
Songz – real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson – has addressed the allegations in a series of tweets.
In a post shared with his 13.9 million followers, he wrote: “I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life.”
He added, “You will choose 2believe what you want”, before concluding, “None of that happened.”
The R&B artist also took the opportunity to reference another previous incident in January 2018 when he was accused of sexual assault at a Miami nightclub, sharing screenshots of what appeared to be messages suggesting that the alleged victim was attempting to win a court settlement.
In a separate case, Songz turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department in March 2018 to face a charge of domestic violence.
The rapper was accused of striking Andrea Buera during an NBA All-Star Weekend afterparty. Songz, however, maintained his innocence, sharing a tweet which said, “I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
