Rapper Tory Lanez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon on Sunday (12 July).
Police were called to the Hollywood hills in the early hours of the morning after an altercation at a house party reportedly turned violent.
At around 4.30am, authorities arrested “The Take” rapper, charging him with carrying a concealed weapon in his vehicle. According to reports by TMZ, fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion was inside the car and was listed by police as a “victim” in the incident.
Tory, real name Daystar Peterson, was booked into the Hollywood Jail and posted his $35,000 (£27,900) bail at around 10am.
Peterson is due to appear in court on 13 October. The Independent has approached his representatives for comment.
Earlier in the day, Peterson, 27, appeared on Megan Thee Stallion’s Instagram as they attended a pool party with Kylie Jenner.
The Canadian-born rapper is best known for collaborations with the likes of Chris Brown and Future, as well as his past feud with Drake.
