Your support makes all the difference.Ever since The Stone Roses announced a number of homecoming gigs late last year, fans have been wondering whether this could herald the band's first album in 22 years.
Earlier on today (24 March), frontman Ian Brown exclusively revealed to NME that the band are indeed making new music.
Speaking outside producer Paul Epworth's Crouch End recording facility, Brown - when asked what they were doing inside the building - simply replied: "I'm recording music."
When asked how long fans have to wait until they hear new material, he said "soon" before admitting he wasn't allowed to reveal how many tracks the band is working on.
Rumours swelled in recent weeks when a source claimed a third album was "imminent" while the band - comprised of guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and bucket hat-wearing drummer Reni - were spotted outside the North London recording studio earlier this week.
While this isn't bonafide confirmation of a follow-up to the band's 1994 record Second Coming, it seems apparent that a third album is well on the way.
The Stone Roses will play their sold-out dates at Manchester's Etihad Stadium in June as well as a headline slot at T in the Park (8 July).
