From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Following the September 9 debut of The Beatles' digitally remastered catalogue on CD, music labels Apple Corp Ltd. (not to be confused with the computer company) and EMI Music on November 3 announced the worldwide release of a Beatles Stereo USB 'apple' devices on December 7 (December 8 in North America).

Thirty-thousand of the apple-shaped USB drives will be released, each one loaded with the re-mastered audio of The Beatles' 14 stereo titles, as well as all of the remastered CDs' visual elements, including 13 mini-documentary films about the studio albums, replicated original UK album art, rare photos, and expanded liner notes.

The 16GB USB's audio and visual contents will be fully compatible with PC and Mac.

To pre-order a USB drive--selling for $279.99--visit the official Beatles Store, accessible from http://www.thebeatles.com.
