Connecticut police have arrested a man who they say robbed a bank, went to Taylor Swift's Rhode Island home and threw the loot over her fence.

The man - identified by the Ansonia, Conn. police as 26-year-old Bruce Rowley - has been accused of robbing the Webster Bank in town on April 4.

According to police, the reason for the heist was that Rowley allegedly "had a crush" on the singer and "wanted to impress her," the Associated Press reports.

Rowley reportedly drove 60 miles to her Westerly, Rhode Island mansion and began hurling some of the stolen "roughly $1,600" over the fence.

Police allege that "it seemed he wanted to propose" to Swift.

Rhode Island state police reportedly followed Rowley down I-95 back to Connecticut because he refused to pull over.

At exit 89 Rowley was taken into custody and later allegedly revealed his plan to the police.

According to Fox13, police claim that Rowley said he was planning to donate all of the stolen money to the Ansonia Police Department.

Rowley was held on $100,000 bond on Friday.

The Independent reached out to the Ansonia Police Dept. for comment, but they were unavailable at this time.
