From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Singer Camila Cabello has revealed what she's learned from Taylor Swift when it comes to her relationship with the audience, after opening for the star on her Reputation stadium tour.

The former Fifth Harmony member praised Swift in a conversation with NME at BBC Radio 1's Biggest Weekend, saying she was in awe of the intimate interaction between Swift and her fans.

"I love the way she talks to the crowd," the 21-year-old singer said of Swift.

Cabello continued: "She plays stadiums of 60,000 people every night, but she's got this gift of talking to the whole crowd like she's talking to one person in a room."

Cabello hopes to headline arena shows herself eventually.

"I mean it's every artist's dream," she explained.

But she admitted she still has things to learn.

"I feel like I have a good way to go before I get there, but there’s a lot of fun in the journey," she added.

The musician also discussed her recent collaboration with Pharrell Williams, "Sangria Wine."

She described their efforts as "so much fun."

"I’m just so happy that 'Sangria Wine' is finally out because we had that song in our pockets for a little bit of time and it felt like the perfect time to drop it," Cabello said.

Cabello will be opening for Swift on the Reputation tour through November 21.
