From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Rapper YG brought out Stormy Daniels at a concert to perform an anti-Donald Trump rap.

YG was performing at Camp Gnaw Flog Carnival at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium and invited the adult film star to join him on stage.

Daniels, who claimed she received hush money after having sex with the US president more than a decade ago, told the crowd: “My name is Storny f***ing Daniels, and I am the reason Donald Trump is f***ed.”

When YG asked Daniels – real name Stephanie Clifford – if she really had a sexual encounter with Trump, she replied: “No, I just laid there.”

The pair then performed YG’s collaboration with Nipsey Hussle, “FDT”, that includes the lyrics: “F*** Donald Trump.”

Watch the full clip on Twitter here – be warned: it contains very strong language.

Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Cohen, pleaded guilty last year to directing payments of $130,000 (£102,000) to her, as well as $150,000 (£117,000) to Playboy model Karen McDougal, shortly before the 2016 presidential election in a bid to buy their silence.

Trump has always denied the alleged encounters with both of them.
