The existence of a new track titled "Beautiful Thing" was spotted on the website of PPL, a copyright organisation concerned with public song-playing.
"Beautiful Thing" reportedly lasts for seven minutes meaning fans can expect a tune similar to beloved epic hits such as "Fools Gold" and "This is the One."
NME reports that a fresh Stone Roses announcement is due tonight; while fans are speculating this could be the Manchester band's second single to be taken from their planned upcoming album - their third since 1994's Second Coming - it could be that "Beautiful Thing" will serve as the B-side to recent new single "All For One" which is being given a vinyl release on 1 July.
Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Reni will all take to the stage for three homecoming gigs at Manchester's Etihad stadium starting next Wednesday (15 June).
They played the first of two warm-up gigs in Halifax on Tuesday evening (7 June) where they played an array of their most famous songs including "I Wanna Be Adored," "Waterfall" and "I Am the Resurrection."
