From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Iconic Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks confirmed on American television today that the band is planning a 2013 reunion tour.

Speaking on CBS news channel she responded to questions about a possible tour with "next year, so far." Adding: "It's the plan because that's what we do."

The reunion will be scheduled after Nicks and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham have finished solo tours. "I do my thing," she said. "And Lindsey is out doing his thing now. Everybody's on board."

Her remarks come just weeks after Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch committed suicide with a single gunshot wound to the chest at his Tennessee home.

Nicks today expressed her horror at his death. "I just feel very, very bad that somebody could have been that miserable to do something that crazy," she said.

Fleetwood Mac have already had several revival tours, the last of which was "Unleashed" back in 2009.

Nicks is due to start her "Heart and Soul" tour with Rod Stewart next week.
