Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler has been rushed to hospital after suffering a stab wound, according to reports.

TMZ reports that someone called emergency services on Thursday night (27 June), to report that someone had stabbed themselves.

Adler was apparently found at his home in LA with a stab wound to the stomach, and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was suspected to have been involved in the incident.

Adler has struggled with substance abuse for decades. He was kicked out of Guns N’Roses over his issues with addiction in 1990, after achieving worldwide success as one of the original five in the late Eighties. Adler was later inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the group in 2012.

He performed recently in Biloxi, Mississippi with his new band Adler’s Appetite, and has a gig scheduled at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on 12 July.
