Your support makes all the difference.Sir Richard Branson has announced plans to stage live concerts for passengers travelling on Virgin Atlantic flights.
Domestic airline Little Red will host a range of mini in-flight gigs from September, following its recent comic shows on Edinburgh-bound flights.
Sir Richard has said that adding live entertainment to planes travelling from London Heathrow to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester daily will “shake up domestic flying in the UK”.
Acts being lined up for gigs will be announced soon on social media and will be taken from the “rich music scenes in Scotland and Manchester”, Branson said in statement.
He added: “Virgin Records is where it all started for Virgin, and 40 years later it’s great to see we are still being innovative."
“This exciting series of events is the perfect way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Virgin Records and the artists, from Mike Oldfield to Emeli Sandé, who continue to disrupt the status quo."
To celebrate four decades of Virgin Records this year Branson has a series of events planned which include and exhibition, documentary film and CD.
