In the Lonely Hour first reached number one back in June and this week overtook Brighton rock duo Royal Blood with their self-titled album to take the top spot again.
Meanwhile Ed Sheeran’s incredibly successful X has slipped into third place behind both Sam Smith and Royal Blood.
Smith recently admitted that his soulful album was inspired by an unrequited love.
Hits from the record including ‘Money On My Mind’ and ‘Safe With Me’ and his latest track ‘I’m Not The Only One’ has jumped to four places to peak at number five in the singles chart.
Meanwhile Maroon 5’s fourth studio album V has made its debut at number four and is the group’s fifth top 10 record.
In the singles chart Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz claimed the UK number one with their song ‘Prayer In C’. The track was originally released four years ago in 2010 but has been remixed by German producer Robin Schulz and propelled to the top of the charts.
It was a close battle with Duke Dumont and his hit ‘Won’t Look Back’ but the Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz grabbed number one.
