The first bands take to the stage this coming Friday, with Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys and Blink 182 lined up as headliners.
Metcheck is promising a bright start to the event in Reading despite heavy cloud coverage on Friday morning. Some light to moderate rain could fall on Saturday afternoon, before a clear night sets in.
Sunday should be cloudy but remain rain-free, while the whole weekend is expected to be pretty chilly with cold wind at times. Here’s hoping festival-goers have packed their warmer clothes and wellies.
Things look a little soggier for Leeds, with a 50 per cent chance of rain on Thursday and showers throughout Friday leading into a sunny evening. Saturday will be brighter, but expect a downpour around 3pm.
Sunday in the north will be the best day weather-wise, despite a cloudy afternoon. Again, temperatures will be far from tropical, so bring hoodies and thick socks.
Other acts set to perform at Reading and Leeds include Paramore, Jake Bugg, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Bombay Bicycle Club, Vampire Weekend and Imagine Dragons.
A secret set from an unannounced big band has also been hinted at by booking agent Jon McIldowie.
